Laughter Echoes in Yas Mall

Roaring laughter echoed in Yas Mall’s Town Square this weekend, as the Arab Comedy Festival closed out Abu Dhabi Summer Season with non-stop hilarity from the star-studded line up. The largest mall in Abu Dhabi presented two days of full-length comedy performances that brought the audience to tears. The first night was hosted by Bin Baz and saw Ibrahim Khairallah and Fadi Al-Shehri take to the stage.

Day two of the Arab Comedy Festival featured Jordanian – Manal Awad and Rajae Qawas and Saudi Arabia’s Fahad Al Butairi and Emirati Taim Al Falasi hosted the night of laughs.

The comedy troupe brought a riot of laughs with commentary on life in the region, hilarious banter and audience interactions which kept the energy up with quick-witted antics throughout the night.

The Arab Comedy Festival marked the finale of an exhilarating series of high profile events for Abu Dhabi Summer Season 2016. The three month long programme featured world-class international theatre shows, comedy acts, concerts that were held at venues across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western Region.

Working towards the common goal of making Abu Dhabi the entertainment hub of the region, the Tourism and Culture Authority selected FLASH Entertainment for the fourth year in a row to collaborate on Abu Dhabi Summer Season.

“Abu Dhabi Summer Season is a great concept and year-on-year, we are committed to bringing top talent to the Capital,” said John Lickrish. “Working closely with the TCA we play a crucial role in building the entire programme. This stems from the close relationship we have with the TCA, one that has been built on our united vision of making Abu Dhabi the center of entertainment.”

This ADSS is one of many joint collaborations the two institutions have had since FLASH started in 2008. FLASH spearheaded the first Summer Fest in 2013 which was the genesis of the now well-known Abu Dhabi Summer Season.

FLASH Entertainment produced hit events that included: European Football Fanzone, Jamie Raven – Master of Illusion, Bollywood in the Capital, Fun Nation and this weekend’s Arab Comedy Festival. The region’s premiere live events company orchestrated 52 event days with an attendance of 25,000.
