Rita Ora, The Vamps, Steve Aoki, Adam Lambert, Eva Simons, Red Foo, Dawin and Mista Jam are all confirmed to play. Due to scheduling conflicts, previously announced 50 Cent is no longer performing at the event. More artists to be announced soon!

Pre-sale registrations have been extremely strong with thousands signing up to be the first to get their hands on tickets when they go on sale on Sunday at 9am. Weekend passes start from only AED 700 – get yours from www.redfestdxb.com starting Sunday 9am.

The man beneath the famous afro and oversized glasses is more than just a charismatic character on the airwaves – Redfoo wears many hats as a performer, producer, songwriter, DJ, actor, music show judge, serious tennis player, digital app innovator and fashion designer. Bursting onto the world stage as the creative half of the electronic pop-rock duo LMFAO, he scored a couple of #1 hits in more than 30 countries. His sound reflects a new movement in music, and catapulted him into superstar status, enabling him to collaborate with Kanye West, Pitbull, Carly Rae Jepson, Ice Cube, Will.i.am, Lil Jon, fellow DJ’s David Guetta and already confirmed Virgin Radio RedFestDXB artist Steve Aoki. Thirty million single sales and more than 1.6 billion YouTube views later, Redfoo is just getting the party started, and what a party RedFestDXB will be in 2016.

Dawin is a man of many talents. The Brooklyn native feels just as comfortable producing behind the board as he does belting out hooks in front of the microphone. It’s that combination of irresistible dancefloor-ready production and a dynamic vocal range that sets him apart too. His recent single Dessert has proved to be a smash hit worldwide and we cannot wait to see what else he has up his sleeve.

Steve Aoki is a Grammy nominated and international producer/DJ, electronic dance music entrepreneur, and founder of the trendsetting record label, events/lifestyle company, and apparel line Dim Mak. Since launching in 1996, Dim Mak has broken bands such as Bloc Party, The Bloody Beetroots, Klaxons, and The Gossip through deftly marketed single and full-length releases and now has nearly 500 releases to date. As a solo artist, Aoki has become a force of nature averaging over 250 tour dates per year. The fact that the global phenomenon that is Steve Aoki is coming to perform at Virgin Radio RedFestDXB goes to show how much thought has been put into the talent to grow the festival even more.

When James McVey and Brad Simpson first started writing music a few years ago, little did they know, that along with soon-to-be-found new members Tristan Evans and Connor Ball, The Vamps would soon become one of the UK’s biggest exports in music. “When we first started out,” remembers James, “we just wanted to make music and have fun. We had absolutely no idea that we would have even a small amount of the success that has come our way already…and we’re still only just getting started!” And success they have had. The Vamps only released their debut album just over a year ago, and have gone on to have five top ten hits in the UK and sold out a multiple number of arena shows – not bad for a group of lads that just wanted to make music.

A San Diego, California native, Adam Lambert first stepped into the spotlight in 2009 when he became a finalist on the eighth season of American Idol. His vocal range, along with his unique style, made him a standout contestant and he quickly won over millions of viewers. After the season wrapped, Lambert released his successful RCA Records debut, For Your Entertainment, which has sold nearly 2 million copies worldwide and featured the Grammy-nominated radio smash, Whataya Want From Me. In June of 2010, Lambert embarked on his first headlining tour playing to sold out crowds in the US, Europe and Asia. Anyone who has ever seen Adam Lambert perform knows that he carries within him an unquenchable thirst to sing better, to live better, to love better and to be better. “It’s this hunger,” he says. “You can’t sum it up too easily because it runs deep, and certain things quell it for a minute, and you’re like, ‘Oh, I’m satisfied.’ Then you realize, ‘No, I’m not.’ Everybody’s chasing something.”

Fan favourite Rita Ora will be making her Virgin Radio RedFestDXB comeback in 2016 – much to the delight of her Dubai ‘RitaBots’. Rita continues to grow from strength to strength: signed to Roc Nation in her teens, she released her debut #1 record Ora (2012) aged 18, scored four consecutive #1 singles, including the Drake penned R.I.P, joined forces with Charli XCX on Doing It and Iggy Azalea on Black Widow, while also becoming the face of Rimmel London and a collaborator with Adidas. Most recently, she has collaborated with Chris Brown on the single Body On Me. She has blossomed as a UK TV treasure, first as a coach on BBC’s The Voice and now as judge on ITV’s top-rated show, The X Factor. All hail Queen Rita!

Making her Virgin Radio RedFestDXB debut is Eva Simons, the voice behind 2015’s smash hit single Policeman. Eva has been playing music for most of her life, but it wasn’t until she wrote and featured on AfroJack’s breakthrough single Take Over Control, that she really found her voice. “That was the moment where everything shifted”, says Eva. Expect big things from this songstress – and we don’t just mean the hair!

Closing the party will be BBC1 legendary DJ MistaJam. As a DJ forget trying to nail him to any one genre for he’s from the school of thought where only those who’ve perfected the art of mixing need apply. His masterful multi-genre sets span all the sounds of the musical spectrum and regularly cause people to get bunions at some of the finest clubs and festivals around the world, including Fabric in London, Space in Ibiza, and Glastonbury Festival. It is this fearless approach to delivering the ultimate blend of music that has seen his army of supporters and profile grow at a speed that (a dramatically slower) Usain Bolt would be proud of.

“It is only two years since we launched this festival, yet it is already one of the most talked about annual music events regionally. The line-up we have organized for 11 and 12 February 2016 line-up is very exciting and once again we have surpassed ourselves in attracting some of the biggest, best and most exciting current artists”, says COO of Done Events Thomas Ovesen. “Our phenomenal bill of artists is driven by Virgin Radio Dubai 104.4’s playlist favourites as well as superstars from the pop, RnB, hip hop and electronic music charts and is guaranteed to bring back the fans from our previous festivals as well as attracting a lot of new Virgin Radio RedFestDXB fans. So we are very excited to get this party started”.

Steve Smith COO of Arabian Radio Networks says, “Congratulations to Done Events and Virgin Radio Dubai 104.4 for again delivering another amazing chart-topping line-up for Virgin Radio RedFestDXB 2016. We are looking forward to seeing those great performers live here in the UAE and to welcoming the many expected visitors to Dubai to experience this wonderful event and to enjoy our famous Dubai hospitality”.
