As part of Paris Fashion Week, the Fall Winter 2016-2017 Couture show of fashion designer Georges Chakra took place on the 5th of July 2016 at the Jardin des Tuileries in Paris.

For this winter collection, Chakra's new muse ignites passion, and romance through her melancholia. Her silhouette is consumed with desire and her dresses are adorned with incandescent feathers, sequins, crystals, pearls, and petals.

Magical

The waist is highlighted, the cut is graphical, the shoulder detail is sensual and the fringes and pleats play with light and shadow.  Capes and coats are paired with sheath dresses or jumpsuits and the long trains add drama to the twirl.

Dazzling

The fabrics are daring.  The velvet is vibrant, the tulle as light as a feather, the organza glamorous, the guipure and lace are intricately woven, the pleats are crisp and perfectly crossed, the sequins shimmer and stun, and the silk gazar floats down the runway.

Powerful

The color palette is dark and rebellious.  Despite the obvious presence of black and deep colors, a ray of light is seen through blush and Indian pink, pale yellow, blue wisteria, scarab green, ruby ​​red, royal white with some gold and silver accents that capture the attention.

Majestic

The grand finale is spectacular as the collection reaches its climax with the bridal gown; a quintessence of ivory, with hand painted platinum, gold and fuchsia twirls.

A large crowd of fashion lovers, press and VIPs, such as Princess Camilla of Bourbon-Two-Sicilies, Czech model and philanthropist Petra Nemcova, Chinese actress Kira Shi,model Jessica Min Anh, French actresses Vanessa Demouy and Emmanuelle Boidron as well as French model and beauty pageant Flora Coquerel, gave the designer a well-deserved standing ovation at the end of his show.
